The Indoor Sports Supercup is the jointly held Supercup of the Swiss indoor sports basketball , handball , floorball and volleyball for women and men. The first edition of the joint Supercup took place on September 5 and 6, 2015 in the Hallenstadion in Zurich and was followed by 7,000 spectators. In 2016, the event will take place in two parts due to the different start of the season: While floorball and handball will have their Supercup finals in the Saalsporthalle in Zurich at the beginning of September , the basketball and volleyball finals will now take place in early October in the St. Leonhard Hall in Freiburg .
The Supercup is organized in cooperation with the four sports associations Swiss Basketball , Swiss Handball Association , Swiss Unihockey and Swiss Volley and represents their official title fights. The main sponsor of the event is Schweizerische Mobiliar .
history
Before the joint Supercup, the Swiss Handball Federation had been holding such a competition as the SHV SuperCup since 1999 . There was also a Supercup in volleyball from 1995 to 1999 and 2002 to 2011. The sports of floorball and basketball have never had such a competition.
