The SV Wiler-Ersigen is a Swiss Floorball Association , which in the top Swiss league, the National League A permitting.
history
founding
In 1984 the Wiler sports club was founded by eleven founding members. In 1986 he joined the Swiss Floorball Association (SUHV). 1987 one rose to the national league B. The SV Wiler rose in 1988 to the National League A , since the 2007/08 season Swiss Mobiliar League, and merged in 1989 with the UHC Ersigen , from which today's club SV Wiler-Ersigen emerged. In the National League A you reached the eighth final rank. In the following years they were classified in 6th place. In 1995 Wiler-Ersigen signed the first Swedish player.
Step backwards to progress
After a completely wayward season, the club in 1996 rose in the National League B from. After a year-long stint in the NLB, the team returned to the top division in 1997. 1998 and 1999 ended the season in third place. In the new millennium, SV Wiler-Ersigen made it to the Cup final for the first time, but lost it. The association's office was also opened this year. In 2002 they qualified for the final of the Swiss championship and ultimately became runner-up. The following year the SVWE was again runner-up.
Title after title
In 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019, the club became Swiss champions in floorball . In 2005 the SVWE was the first Swiss champion to win the European Cup. In 2006 you could not defend the Swiss championship title and became runner-up. At the European Cup in the same year, the club from Ersigen and Wiler near Utzenstorf won the bronze medal at the European Cup. In the following six years, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, SV Wiler-Ersigen won the Swiss championship in floorball. In 2011 they parted ways with the then successful trainer Thomas Berger, who has directed the fortunes of the first team since 2003. Heikki Luukkonen was his successor. Luukkonen was also able to win the championship with the SVWE. In 2013 he won the cup with SV Wiler-Ersigen. After the season, the Swede Johan Schönbeck was introduced as the new coach. Under Schönbeck you could win two more Swiss championships. In 2015 they became Swiss champions for the 10th time. SV Wiler-Ersigen describes winning the 10th championship title, based on Real Madrid, as la décima . After the 2014/15 season, Olle Thorsell took over the management of the first team. In 2016 they won the Swiss championship again. After the season, Thorsell was replaced by the former successful coach Thomas Berger. Under Berger, they became Swiss champions in 2017 and won the cup in 2018. In 2018 they lost the superfinal floorball Köniz and became runner-up. On April 27, 2019, the SVWE took the title back and celebrated the record championship with the 12th title.
