The Floorball Tigers are a Swiss floorball team based in Zäziwil that in the top division, the National League A , plays.

history

At the origin of the Unihockey Tigers were the two clubs Unihockeyteam UHTZezziwil and Unihockeyteam UHT Torpedo Gauchern , which merged in 2000 and called themselves Floorballzazawil-Gauchern from then on. In order to remain competitive in the NLA, Floorballzazawil-Gauchern sought contact with the SCL Tigers ice hockey club . In March 2005 a common strategy for the future was decided under the name Floorball Tigers. Also in 2005 the women's department separated from the club and merged with the UHC Lions Konolfingen to form the UH Lejonzaziwil , since then the Floorball Tigers have been a pure boys' and men's club. In the course of the cooperation with the UHC Linden, the two main junior clubs Gäziwil and Linden-Röthenbach will also be managed under the umbrella of the Floorball Tigers from 2009. Under coach Philippe Soutter , who coached the Tigers from 2007 to 2010, the Tigers caught up with the national top of the NLA, were four times cup winners and reached the playoff finals three times, but without winning the championship title. In 2019 the Tigers won the Swiss Cup for the last time after a penalty shoot-out against the favored Grashoppers under their coach Michal Rybka.
