The National League A (NLA) is the top division in Swiss floorball .
From the 2007/08 season to 2012/13 the highest league in Switzerland was called the Swiss Mobiliar League (SML), named after the insurance company Schweizerische Mobiliar , the main sponsor at the time.
The NLA consists of twelve teams for men and eight teams for women. For the 2017/18 season, the women's top division will be expanded from eight to ten teams.
The next lower league, the National League B . The first Swiss championship in the National League A in floorball took place in the 1983/84 season .
