history
Foundation and first championship
The association was founded on January 25, 1992 by ten people in the Warteck restaurant. In September of the same year, the men took part in the small field championship for the first time. In 1993 and 1995 they move up to the next higher league.
Small field to large field
Men's
In 1999 the men were promoted to the highest league on the small field. A year later, the men's team managed to win the Swiss League Cup for the first time. In 2001 the club decided to switch the first team from the small field to the large field. As a result, you entered the 2nd division, the then lowest division. Within a year the team developed further and rose to the first division in spring 2002. In 2004 they were able to secure second group rank before they had to go back to the second division a little later. In 2008 the men managed to move up to the first division again. Since then, the UHC Laupen has played in the first division large field.
Ladies
The women only switched from small to large field in 2010. In 2011 they were able to move up to the 1st league large field with a young team, which largely consisted of their own young players. Four years later they missed only one rank promotion to the National League B. In the spring of 2017 it was possible the ladies finally to secure the first place in the standings and thus in the National League B ascend.
Women in the national league
UHC Laupen will take part in the national league for the first time with a team in 2017/18. After only one year in National League B and second place after qualification, UHC Laupen managed to march through from the 1st division Grossfeld to National League A. The team around head coach Yves Kempf first defeated the floorball riders Dürnten-Bubikon-Rüti in the final and was able to stand up to the National League A representative UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen prevail.
