Unihockey Basel Regio is a Swiss floorball club from the Basel region . The first teams (men and women) of floorball Regio play in the National League B .

history

founding

The Unihockey Basel Regio association was created through regional cooperation with the Basel selections. The Unihockey Basel Regio umbrella club was founded from TV Oberwil, Squirrels Ettingen, Griffins Muttenz-Pratteln and UHC Basel United.

Success through regional cooperation

Thanks to the open structure and the consistent promotion of the youth department, Unihockey Basel Regio achieved its first major successes during the 2015/16 season. After the women have established themselves in the National League B, the U21 juniors manage to move up from strength class C to strength class B. In addition, the U21 juniors qualify for the promotion games. The largest and most important success for the leaders of floorball Basel Regio is the rise of the first team of men in the National League B . The team around the former SV Wiler-Ersigen player Patrick Mendelin won all three games of the best-of-five series against Zürisee Unihockey . With the rise, the club from the Basel region is taking a big step towards making itself felt in Swiss floorball in the long term.

On January 26th, Unihockey Basel Regio announced that Daniel Moser, coach of the men's team, would no longer be behind the gang in the 2018/19 season.

Stadion

The Unihockey Basel Regio teams play their home games in the sand pit hall in Basel whenever possible.

Trivia

Unihockey Basel Regio is next to the UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen is the only club that has a women's and a men's team in the national league.
