Floorball Thurgau is a Swiss floorball club from Thurgau and has an office in Weinfelden . The first team of Floorball Thurgau plays in the National League B .
history
Floorball Thurgau emerged from the National League / Competitive Sports department of UHC Wuppenau and was built up with the two Thurgau clubs UHC White Sharks Sulgen and Floorball 99 Weinfelden.
From the beginning, Floorball Thurgau had a national league A team with the women's Fanion team, which had recently been promoted to the highest Swiss league in the year the club was founded. The team was able to stay there for several seasons and, after the end of the 2004/05 season, voluntarily withdrew from National League A for sporting reasons in order to rebuild the team in National League B. In the same year, the men managed to move up to the second highest division. In the following 05/06 season, however, the women's team did not go as desired, despite voluntary withdrawal, and the former Fanion team was relegated to the first division, while the men were just able to hold the division. In the 2006/07 season, however, the men also said goodbye to the 1st division, while the women's team was dissolved after a forced relegation to the 2nd division triggered by a league restructuring. the women even disappeared into the depths of the second division after a league restructuring.
The men's team then played in the first division for several years and missed promotion in 2011 in the relegation games against the floorball Langenthal Aarwangen . A year later, however, the rise succeeded against Zürisee Unihockey, whereby the men's team played again in the second highest league after five years. Since then, the team has been able to hold the league.
In the 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons Floorball Thurgau was classified for the promotion and relegation games of the NLA. In both seasons, the Thurgauers met their canton neighbor UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen. Daniel Costa's team could not achieve promotion in either of the two attempts.
