Regazzi Verbano Unihockey Gordola is a Swiss floorball club from Gordola in the canton of Ticino . The first team from Regazzi Verbano Unihockey Gordola will play in the National League B from the 2016/17 season .
history
founding
The association was founded in 1990 under the guise of SAG Gordola. SAG Gordola is a gymnastics and sports club from the village of Gordola . The actual foundation stone was laid for the 1998/199 season with the merger between Unisag Gordola and UHC Verbano Locarno from the district capital of Locarno .
For the 2001/02 season, those responsible were able to commit long-time professional Patrik Lönell. From 2010 to 2014 Philippe Soutter worked as a coach at Verbano, who led the first team from the fifth-class third division to the third-class first division during his tenure.
Promotion to the National League B
The Ticino sensationally finished the 2015/16 season in first place, four points ahead of their pursuers UHC Pfannenstiel. In the subsequent playoffs, the team beat the Jona-Uznach Flames and was able to force promotion to the best-of-five series within three games. Thus, the club is in the National League B for the 2016/17 season.
Stadion
