Maja Storck (born October 8, 1998 in Münchenstein ) is a Swiss volleyball player . The diagonal attacker has been part of the national team since 2016. In 2018 she came to the German Bundesliga for the Ladies in Black Aachen . From 2020 she will play for Dresdner SC .
Career
Storck discovered her interest in beach volleyball while watching TV . She began her career as a volleyball player at the age of nine at VBC Münchenstein. In 2012 the diagonal attacker, whose mother comes from Poland, went to Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen , where she was initially trained at the junior academy. In 2014 she moved up to the first team that plays in the National League A. In the Challenge Cup 2015/16 Storck made her first appearance in the European Cup. With Pfeffingen she became Swiss runner-up this season. In April 2016 she was named Youngster of the Year. After that, the previous youth national team player for Volleyball Masters in was Montreux for the first time in the senior team appointed. In the 2016/17 season Storck reached the national cup final with Pfeffingen and was again runner-up. She also won the Swiss U23 championship. With the national team, she took part in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei . In 2018 she was runner-up with Pfeffingen for the third time in a row.
She then moved to the German Bundesliga team Ladies in Black Aachen . With the club, she reached the semi-finals in the 2018/19 DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs . She also played in the Challenge Cup . In the 2019/20 season she reached the quarter-finals of the DVV Cup and the European Challenge Cup with Aachen . When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, the Ladies in Black were in seventh place in the table. In the 2020/21 season, Storck will play for league rivals Dresdner SC .
