Lena Stigrot (born December 20, 1994 in Bad Tölz ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Lena Stigrot started playing volleyball at TV Lengries. In 2008 the student won the Bundespokal Süd with the selection of the Bavarian Volleyball Association. In the same year, the Lengrieserin was appointed to the squad of the youth national team. In the 2009/10 season, the high school student switched to the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg . There she was one of the first residents of the newly founded volleyball boarding school and was part of the squad of the second division team in Lower Bavaria. In 2010, Stigrot won a six-nation tournament with the German national youth team, and in the same year the Vilsbiburger was third in the German U20 championships organized by her home club TV Lengries in Bad Tölz.

In the 2010/11 season, the versatile volleyball player developed into a regular player in the Ravens second team in the second Bundesliga . In the first two games of the season, the then fifteen-year-old was only substituted on for a few points. In the following game, Stigrot was used as Libera. In the other 21 matches of the year, the native of Bad Tölzer was not on the starting line-up only three times. Lena Stigrot stood thirteen times from the beginning to the end of the game as a middle blocker or in the diagonal position on the field. Among them were the 3-0 victories against the runner-up DJK Augsburg-Hochzoll , the fourth Fighting Kangaroos Chemnitz and the sixth VfL Nürnberg, which was one place in the final table behind the Vilsbiburgerinnen. In the youth national team, the Rote Raben attacker was part of the squad for the qualifying tournament for the European Championship as well as the team for the U18 European Championship finals in Ankara .

Since the 2011/12 season, the universal player has been a member of the Red Raven Bundesliga team. Lena Stigrot made her first appearance in the first division in the 3-0 away win for Niederbayern in Leverkusen . For the first time in the ball sports hall at home, the student was on the field in the match against VC Olympia Berlin . The Vilsbiburgerinnen defeated their Berlin opponents 3-1. In March 2012 she was in the final of the DVV Cup .

In 2014 Stigrot became German runner-up with the Rote Raben and won the DVV Cup. She also made her first appearance in the German national team , with which she finished fifth at the European Championships in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2015 .

In 2018, Stigrot moved to league competitor Dresdner SC . Your contract runs until 2021.

Private

Stigrot lives in Landshut and is studying international management in the distance learning course.
