The 2010/11 season of the 2. Women's Volleyball Bundesliga North was the thirty-fifth edition of this competition. It started on September 11, 2010 and ended on April 16, 2011.

2nd Bundesliga North

TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen became champions and promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . SV Bad Laer and SC Langenhagen had to relegate.

Teams

This season the following thirteen teams played in the women's 2nd Bundesliga North:

Both the champions of last season TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the second VfL Oythe renounced promotion to the Bundesliga , the third USC Münster II could not be promoted to the first division as a second team, so that no team from last year's second division north was represented in the top German league. While 1. VC Stralsund, SV Bad Laer and TSV Werne 03 were playing in the 2. Bundesliga this season, 1. VC Norderstedt, TV Gladbeck and Kieler TV had to move into the third division.

The base team VCO Berlin II was excluded from the promotion and relegation regulation.

2nd Bundesliga South

SV Lohhof became champions. The Unterschleißheimer renounced the promotion for financial reasons. Successor DJK Augsburg-Hochzoll withdrew his license application for the Bundesliga, but had not applied for admission to the second division and therefore had to leave the class alongside the three athletic relegated TG Biberach, TV 05 Wetter and TBS Saarbrücken.

This season the following thirteen teams played in the 2nd Bundesliga South:

The SWE volley team said goodbye after the previous season as promoted to the 1st Bundesliga , the Dresden SSV, bottom of the table last season, was the first relegated. The second team of SV Lohhof could no longer remain in the league due to the relegation of the first team from the 1st Bundesliga and was downgraded to the Regionalliga Südost. In addition, SV Mauerstetten voluntarily waived their right to play for sporting reasons, so VfL Nürnberg was able to keep the class. The DJK Augsburg-Hochzoll, TV Villingen and TG Bad Soden were promoted from the regional leagues.
