The 2004/05 season of the 2nd women's volleyball division was the twenty-ninth edition of this competition.

2nd Bundesliga North

The champions became the Köpenicker SC Berlin, which was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. Detmolder TV and CVJM Hamburg were relegated, MTV Obernkirchen withdrew.

VC Muldental Grimma became champions and promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . MTV Stuttgart, TG Bad Soden and VC Augsburg had to get down.

The junior team VCO Dresden again had special rights to play. Bundesliga relegated VC Augsburg was determined to be the first relegated due to financial irregularities.
