2nd Bundesliga North

Teams

This season the following thirteen teams played in the women's 2nd Bundesliga North:

The champions of the past 2015/16 season were TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who, like second-placed VfL Oythe, had renounced promotion and thus continued to compete in the second division. For financial reasons, the TV Fischbek, whose team started as VT Aurubis Hamburg in the first Bundesliga in 2015/2016 , began a fresh start as the Hamburg volleyball team in the second-highest German division. As in the previous year, the Schweriner SC II support team started with special gaming rights as VCO Schwerin.

table

From the 2013/14 season, a new point rule applies to the DVV's game operations: for a 3-0 or 3-1 win there are three points, for a 3-2 win two points, for a 2: 3- Loss one point and no point for a 1-3 or 3-0 defeat. In the event of a tie, the number of games won first decides, then the set quotient (division method) and finally the ball point quotient (division method).
