The DJK Sports Association Munich-Ost eV is a German sports club from the Munich district Ramersdorf-Perlach . The chairmen are Oskar Grabler and Ulrike Hahn.

history

The club was founded after the Second World War on April 24, 1946 as the DJK Sportbund München . He started his game and sports business initially in the sports of soccer and handball . At that time, the club had its first sports ground in the north of Munich. In 1954 the club had to move to a new site, roughly on today's Olympic site . As early as 1958, the club was offered a playing field in southeast Munich near the satellite town of Neuperlach , built in 1968 . The club had expanded, athletics and a gymnastics department were added. These departments trained at the district sports facility on Agnes-Bernauer-Strasse in western Munich.

With the move to the Neuperlach area, a separation of the association into East and West was inevitable. The departments that separated from the DJK Sportbund München founded the DJK Sportbund München-Ost on February 21, 1968 . 1971 came the allocation to the district sports facility Bert-Brecht-Allee in Neuperlach and thus a temporary home for the football department. The district sports facility Süd-Perlach, which the city of Munich had been planning since 1983, then became the club's final domicile after more than 50 years of wandering.

Mayor Gertraud Burkert handed over the turf pitch without floodlights on September 8, 2001, and the artificial turf pitch with floodlights on June 28, 2003 by city school councilor Elisabeth Weiß-Söllner . The original handover in autumn 2002 was not possible for technical reasons.

In the summer of 2013, construction began on the company building for the Max-Reinhardt-Weg district sports facility. The development plan provided for a company building with a gym and restaurant. In addition, a small artificial turf pitch and two beach volleyball courts were built. The adjacent grass football field of the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium and the entire athletics facility were integrated into the district sports facility.

The district sports facility has been open since February 2014 and the club and its office have moved into the new company building.

volleyball

The volleyball department of the Sportbund München-Ost played in the 3rd women's volleyball league east until the 2014/15 season . In the 2014/15 season, the club was finally able to win the championship. As a result, a license application for the 2nd Volleyball Bundesliga was submitted in May 2015 . The license application was granted for the 2015/16 season. The team management and the management of the newly created Volley Visions Munich UG is taken over by Rebecca Seifert. Head coach Bastian Henning has been with the club since 2011 and will also take over the sporting management of the Bundesliga team this season.
