volleyball

The volleyball department was one of the largest departments at VfL Nürnberg with four women, three men, two hobby and several youth teams. The figurehead was the 1st women's team, which played in the 2nd Bundesliga South from 2004 to 2012 and in the 3rd League East from 2012 to 2017 . Then the team joined TV Fürth 1860 , which took over the playing rights from VfL Nuremberg. Since then, VfL Nürnberg has only offered hobby volleyball.
