The synagogue in Ludza (German Ludsen ), a Latvian city in the Latgale region , was built around 1800. The secular synagogue has long been owned by the city of Ludza.

With the attack on the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, the entire territory of Latvia came under the control of National Socialist Germany until July 8, 1941. This began the annihilation of almost all of the local Jewish population.

A Jewish museum on the history of Judaism in the city and the region was opened in the renovated synagogue building in 2016 .
