Synagogue in Talsi (2008)

The synagogue in Talsi (German Talsen ), a city in western Latvia , was built in 1854. The derelict synagogue was converted into a residential building with an outbuilding after the Second World War . The building complex is located at 5 Kalna Iela Street.

With the attack on the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, the entire territory of Latvia came under the control of National Socialist Germany until July 8, 1941. This began the annihilation of almost all of the local Jewish population.
