Synagogue (Zalaegerszeg)
The synagogue in Zalaegerszeg , a Hungarian city and the administrative center of Zala County , was built in 1904 according to plans by the architect József Stern . The derelict synagogue in the historicism style has been used as a concert and exhibition hall since the renovation in 1983.
In the synagogue building, visitors can view a virtual exhibition that shows the Jewish history in Zalaegerszeg. Also on display are cult objects owned by the Hungarian Jewish Museum (see Great Synagogue in Budapest ) and the Jewish community of Zalaegerszeg.
