Synagogue of Agudas Achim

The Synagogue Agudas Achim ("Bund der Brüder") is a synagogue in Zurich . It is located at Erikastrasse 8 in Aussersihl . The inconspicuous building is about 15 meters high. It was built from 1959 to 1960, and the architect is Walter Sonanini. It belongs to the Jewish community of Agudas Achim in the tradition of Eastern European Judaism . The preliminary planning for the construction took about 15 years.

The entrance is decorated with two tablets of the Law with the Ten Commandments and the inscription

מה טובו אהליך יעקב משכנתיך ישראל (Numbers 24: 5) "How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your homes, Israel".
