Kazinczy Street Synagogue (Budapest)
The synagogue at Kazinczy Street 29–31 in Budapest , the Hungarian capital, was built in 1912/13. The synagogue, classified as a cultural monument , is located near the Great Synagogue , which belongs to the neological community.
history
An architectural competition was held to create a community center with a synagogue, school, and community administration for the Orthodox Jewish community . Finally the brothers Sándor and Béla Löffler got the job. In 1928 another ritual bath was set up in the community center. The buildings, badly damaged during the Second World War , were soon rebuilt.
