Windhoek synagogue

The Windhoek Synagogue is an Orthodox synagogue in the Namibian capital Windhoek . It is the only active synagogue in the country and is owned by the Windhoek Hebrew Congregation . The synagogue was built in 1924.

The orthodox synagogue is to be closed and sold (as of November 2015) as no member of the small Jewish community belongs to Orthodox Judaism.

With the Keetmanshoop Synagogue in Keetmanshoop , there was another synagogue in Namibia between 1927 and 1973.
