Bünde synagogue district

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The synagogue district of Bünde , based in Bünde , today a town in the Herford district in North Rhine-Westphalia , was created according to the Prussian Jewish law of 1847 .

The synagogue district was established in 1856. It included the Jewish community in Bünde and was also responsible for looking after the Jews in Rödinghausen and (after 1902) in the Ennigloh office. The first chairman of the synagogue community was probably Alexander Moses Ganz , followed by Ansel Levison , who held the office until his death in 1868.
