Synertek, Inc. was an American semiconductor manufacturer founded in 1973. The product range ranged from integrated circuits and metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors to the successful 8-bit processor 6502 from MOS Technology, as a second source from 1979 . Synertek supplied, among other things, Atari and equipped the well-known Apple II . In addition, Synertek manufactured the less successful Philips / Signetics 2650 processor.

Synertek bought Microcomputer Associates, which u. a. consisted of engineers Manny Lemas and Ray Holt. The company then renamed itself Synertek Systems, Inc. In 1978 Synertek published the single-board computer SYM-1 , which was equipped with a 6502 processor and corresponded to the single-board computer KIM-1 .

Synertek was later acquired by Honeywell (around 1979) .
