The Syrian Arab News Agency , abbreviated to SANA , in Arabic al-Wakala al-arabiyya as-suriyya li-l-anba ' (الوكالة العربية السورية للأنباء, DMG al-Wakāla al-ʿarabīya as-sūrīya li-l-anbāʾ ) is the Syrian state news agency .

The agency was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Damascus .
