The syringoma (syn. Hidradenoma , adenoma sudoriparum ) (adenoma of the intraepithelial sweat gland duct ) is a rare, benign (benign) tumor of the sweat glands of the skin . The tissues of origin are eccrine sweat glands.
The syringoma appears as a skin-colored to yellowish papule up to 5 mm in size and occurs mainly in the facial area and in the vulva area . The majority of syringomas occur in adolescents; women are more frequently affected than men.
