System D
The Système D [ sistɛmˈde ] is a French expression that denotes an unconventional way of dealing with problems; similar to the German " Trick 17 " or the Swiss "Trick 77".
The D in Système D supposedly stands for the term débrouiller (French: to manage, to unravel, to get by; compare Bredouille in German ), which is popularly paraphrased as se démerder (French: to get through , literally to pull yourself out of the shit ) and - to put it casually - means something like pulling yourself out of the affair or noose .
According to another opinion , the D in Système D stands for the descriptor de , which means roughly from or des / who :
- système d ' exploitation (the operating system)
- système d ' alimentation (the power supply system)
- système d ' éducation (the educational system)
In this context, Système D is a kind of adapter to which, depending on the problem, a certain institution (as in the case of problems with the electricity supplier = alimentation etc.) can be added ( rhetorically speaking).
When Système D is sometimes hard sometimes bordering on the illegitimate traded.
