Täçberdi Tagyýew

Täçberdi Tagyýew (* 1955 in the Balkans Province ) is a Turkmen politician .

Tagyýew is Turkmen Deputy Minister. In 1977 he graduated from the Turkmen Polytechnic in the field of oil and gas drilling and exploitation of their reserves . From November 2002 to October 2003 he was Minister for the Oil and Gas Industry and Ministerial Supplies of Turkmenistan. Since 2006 he has been general director of the Türkmenbaşy oil refining group. In February 2007 he was appointed chairman of the state gas company Türkmengaz .

From February to July 2009, Tagyýew held the post of Deputy Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. At the same time, since February 2007, he has been Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of the State Fund for the Development of the Country’s Oil and Gas Industry. In 2012, he was promoted to General Director of the Turkmenbashi Complex for Oil Refineries. In October 2014, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow relieved him of his post due to “serious shortcomings”.
