The Töfrafoss or Kringilsárfoss was a waterfall in the east of Iceland .
It has disappeared on the west bank of the Hálslón reservoir since it was dammed in autumn 2006. The reservoir belongs to the Kárahnjúkar power plant . The waterfall was 24 m high. Now it only rises above the water when the water level is low. The Kringilsá river now flows directly into the reservoir instead of into the Jökulsá á Brú as before .
