Tübingen sheet for recording pain behavior

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tübinger sheet for the recording of pain behavior (TBS) is a German modification of the Pain Behavior Checklist (PBC) for behavior monitoring in pain .

Assessment categories

The evaluation sheet was developed in 1991 by Herta Flor . This means that eleven behavioral categories can be assessed by a trained observer. The questionnaire codes the frequency of occurrence of the symptoms within a certain period of time based on defined situations or by video in three categories : never, sometimes and almost always. Characteristics examined are hobbling, groaning, grimacing, cramped posture, feeling the painful areas, changing posture frequently, slowing movements, complaining, refusing to do activities, crying and taking care of yourself.
