TXT was a German pop duo. After the end of Neue Deutsche Welle in 1985, Markus Mörl founded the band TXT with Mark Jefferis. Their first single Girl's Got a Brand New Toy was a nightclub hit in Europe (including # 4 in Italy). The follow-up singles ( Cold As Ice , Hot Was The Rainy Night , Kiss Via Satellite ) were, however, moderate successes. The album also hardly sold. The TXT project ended after just two years.

Members

  • Markus Mörl (born August 27, 1959 in Bad Camberg )
  • Mark Jefferis (born November 4, 1960 in the United Kingdom ). When he was with TXT, Mark lived in Frankfurt am Main . Born in England, he worked as a studio musician and singer in London at least until he worked with Markus Mörl. After the end of TXT, he recorded a cover version of the disco classic "Born To Be Alive" by Patrick Hernandez as a single, which was commercially unsuccessful and his only solo release to date.
