COMDEX ( " Com puter D Ealer's ex hibition" ) was, each one fair for computer and information electronics in November 1979 to 2003 in Las Vegas took place. It was the second largest trade fair in the industry after CeBIT . In 2000, large companies such as IBM , Apple Computer and Hewlett-Packard terminated their collaboration because of the high costs and the deteriorating quality of the trade fair. The fair was finally canceled for 2004 and 2005, and CES in Las Vegas took over the role of COMDEX.

1998 found at COMDEX presentation of Windows 98 instead, it brought a certain fame: In the presence of the then Microsoft CHEFS Bill Gates the crashed operating system with a blue screen on.
