Location of the village Kronsnest

Kronsnest was located near the Tutenberg and belonged to Oberndorfmark and thus to the parish of Düshorn in what was then the Fallingbostel district in Lower Saxony . In 1936 the place had to give way as a result of the establishment of the Bergen military training area . A centuries-old tradition came to an abrupt end.

Relocation

The fact that the place name Kronsnest did not disappear forever after the "resettlement" is due to the fact that in 1936 a district called Kronsnest was specially built near Hamwiede near Walsrode . At that time there was an official permit for this. The aim was to preserve the centuries-old place name.
