TSG Erkelenz
The Tanzsportgemeinschaft Erkelenz eV is a dance sport club in Erkelenz . The club, which was founded on September 7, 1983, has single couples (popular sport and tournament classes standard and Latin ), Latin formations and jazz and modern dance .
Latin formations
A-team
The A-Team of TSG Erkelenz currently dances in the Regionalliga West Latin, but was promoted from the Oberliga West Latin to the 1st Bundesliga Latin in the mid-1990s:
- Season 1994/1995: Oberliga West Latin, 2nd place
- 1995/1996 season: Regionalliga West Latin, 1st place (1st place was also achieved in the promotion tournament to 2nd Bundesliga Latin)
- Season 1996/1997: 2nd Bundesliga Latin, 2nd place
- 1997/1998 season: 1st Bundesliga Latin.
Up until the 1999/2000 season, the A-team danced Latin in the 1st Bundesliga, then in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2000/2001 and 2001/2002. The formation has been dancing in the Regionalliga West Latin since the 2002/2003 season.
More Latin information
In addition to the A-Team, TSG Erkelenz currently also has a B-Team that competes in the West Latin regional league. In the past, TSG Erkelenz's B-Team has danced in the Oberliga and Regionalliga West Latin.
In addition, at the end of the 1990s, the club also had a C-Team that danced in the West Latin regional league until the 1998/1999 season. In the 1999/2000 season, the team no longer competed.
Jazz and Modern Dance
In the field of jazz and modern dance, TSG Erkelenz has two formations, the "Esperanza" team (Association League West) and the "Movimiento" team (Youth League West).
