The TSG Wörsdorf is a sports club from the Idsteiner district Wörsdorf with about a thousand members. The club colors are blue and orange.
History of the football department
The football department broke away from the entire club in 1922 as SV Wörsdorf. As was often the case at the time , the gymnasts proved to be the brakes on the development of the football department. After the Second World War, however, they merged again to form a gymnastics and sports community. In terms of sport, however, one was not very successful and did not get out of the district level. It was only with the inauguration of a new sports facility in 1980 that football in the club received new impulses. With a successful young talent concept, the club achieved several promotions from the late 1980s. 1988 still in the district league, in 1993 they were already in the state league . In 2001 they even made it to the Hesse league . TSG Wörsdorf belonged to this league until 2010.
Stadion
The club plays in the Wallbacher Strasse stadium. The stadium holds 3000 spectators.
