The TSV oak Koepenick is a German sports club based in Berlin-Köpenick Treptow-Koepenick . The home of the club is the sports field at Wendenschloßstraße 6.

The Union

On January 15, 1896, the association “Arbeiter-Turn- und Sport-Bund” Köpenick was founded by twelve gymnasts in the Berlin district of Köpenick. This makes it the oldest Köpenick sports club under the same name. It wasn't until 1912 that football was played for the first time at TSV Eiche, despite protests from the gymnastics community.

On June 21, 1921, the new sports facility, the "Eiche-Platz", between Müggelspree and Achenbachstrasse and Wendenschloßstrasse, was inaugurated by 1,500 athletes and spectators and the club was renamed TSV Eiche Köpenick.

After the war the TSV Eiche Köpenick continued and in 1951 the local bowling club "Kegler Köpenick" was incorporated into the club structure. A total of three GDR championships in the Bohle section (1952 in the individual and team evaluation and 1953 in the individual evaluation) made the bowlers the most successful division in the club.

From 1986 until the fall of the Berlin Wall, the association was briefly renamed BSG Bau Eiche Köpenick.

After the German reunification, the club was renamed back to TSV Eiche Köpenick.

In addition to the sports of gymnastics, football and bowling, handball, athletics, competitive fishing and women's gymnastics have also been included in the sports program over the years. Football is currently the largest department.

Fishing and water sports department

In the mid-1990s, a group of amateur anglers formed the Oak Fishing and Water Sports Department. In 1999 they were given a plot of land from the former Yucca terraces in Berlin-Grünau , offered by the Köpenick district office for their own use. The new sports facility with meeting and event rooms was built on this area. The department currently has 33 members.
