Tabar (trunk)

Tabar ( Pashtun : ټبر [tabar], tabə́r) is the Pashtun name for a main tribe of the Pashtun people . It is a patrilineal lineage in a segmented society . Main strains are e.g. B. the Durrani and the Ghilzai .

The tribe (English also: super tribe) is divided into khels , which are divided into smaller groups called Plārinas (anglicized: plarganey, from plār = father). The Plārinas in turn consist of several families, called Kahols , the families in turn are the Kors (کور) or households.
