Tajalei is a Sudanese village. It is located about 20 kilometers northeast of the district capital Abeyi in the Abyei district . In March 2011 there was fighting there. They are a direct reaction and consequence of the independence referendum in South Sudan. In an attack by Misseriye cattle herders and the regular army of Sudan on Ngok- Dinka , 300 houses are said to have been set on fire. The Misseriye belong to the north, the Dinka to the South Sudan .
