Table of the best
Table of the best ( Russian Доска почёта ) was called a kind of wall newspaper in the Soviet Union with the names and photos of activists of the production.
Usually the table of the best was a wide wooden table, which was covered with red fabric and was located at the factory entrance or the reception hall of an organization. In the first years of Soviet power it was called the "Red Board" as opposed to the "Black Board" (or "Board of Shame"), which listed drunkards, loafers and workers who did not meet the standard. In addition to the boards in the production facilities, there were also city, rayon, oblast and republic boards of the best.
Sevastopol is one of the cities in which boards of the best are still held in 2007 . On the Nakhimov is -Platz the municipal board of the best, each district has its own top panel.
