The Tagus were a 1960s Swedish pop group. It consisted of Göran Bertil Lagerberg (* 1947), Tommy Blom (* 1947), Danne Tage Larsson (* 1948), Fredrik "Freddie" Howard Skantze (* 1945) and Anders Per Töpel (* 1947). The band mainly played their own pieces, but also covered.

At times, the group Tommy Tausis (* 1945), who came from the Gothenburg band Strangers and later played with the Spotnicks , Lasse Svensson (* 1947), brother of Barbro Lill-Babs Svensson , Björn Töpel, younger brother of Anders Töpel and Örjan Ramberg. Anders "Henkan" Henriksson played a crucial role as composer and producer.

The group was founded in the summer of 1963 in Gothenburg as the Skifflegruppe ( Tage's Skifflegrupp ). In 1964 she changed her name to day . Their music was similar to that of the Beatles . She took part in a regional competition “Västkustens Beatles” run by a major Gothenburg newspaper, which she won. The price was to be able to record a single. Sleep Little Girl became a huge hit and made it into the Swedish top ten. Other successful singles followed (including I Should Be Glad , Don't Turn Your Back , The One for You , So Many Girls , In My Dreams , Miss Mac Baren ). With Every Raindrop Means a Lot , the group turned to the psychedelic style in 1967. In the same year she released her fifth LP. In 1968 Tommy Blom left the group, which changed its name to Blond in the spring of 1969 . Although she was able to record a new album in London, which was offered not only in Scandinavia, but also in Great Britain, the Netherlands, the USA, New Zealand and South Africa, the breakup of the group in the summer of 1970 could not prevent it.

The name of the group goes back to the genitive form of the middle name of Dan "Danne" Tage Larsson.
