Man ruby
Mann Rubin (born December 11, 1927 in New York City , † October 12, 2013 in Los Angeles ) was an American screenwriter for film and television. He was best known for his work for films such as All My Dreams , The Devilish Game , Second-Hand Murder and The First Deadly Sin .
life and career
Mann Rubin, born in Brooklyn in 1927 , served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. In 1952, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University . In 1948 he gained his first experience as a screenwriter. In addition to his studies, he first worked as a writer for DC Comics before he worked as a freelance writer for film and television in 1952. Between the years 1952 to 1990 numerous scripts were written for episodes of well-known American television series, preferably crime, drama, adventure or spy genre for, among others, Tales of Tomorrow (1952–1953), Justice (1954–1955), Climax! (1957), Checkmate (1961–1962), Perry Mason (1964–1965), On the Run (1966), Iron Horse (1967), FBI (1967), Cobra, Take Over (1967–1971), Mannix (1971 –1973), The Boss (1973–1975), The Six Million Dollar Man (1974), Road Adventure (1974), Harry O (1975), Starsky and Hutch (1975), Cannon (1976), Baretta (1976) , Petrocelli (1976), Barnaby Jones (1976–1978), Quincy (1977–1978), Detective Rockford - Just Call (1979), The Denver Clan (1981), Under the California Sun (1982–1983), Hotel ( 1984), Police Report (1990).
Mann Rubin has also written various screenplays for movies since 1959, including All My Dreams , Dance on a Wire, The Devilish Game, Second-Hand Murder , The First Deadly Sin or Marine Fighter for director Ted Post .
In addition to his film and television work, Rubin taught screenwriting in the Cinema and TV Department at the University of Southern California for over a decade.
Mann Rubin died after a long illness on October 12, 2013 at the age of 85 in West Hills , a district of Los Angeles .
