Taim (unit)

Taim , also Taong, Teong, Them, was a rear Indian measure of length and was common in Rangoon , Pegu and Ava , regions in what is now Myanmar .

The measure corresponded to the well-known cubit measure . So was in

  • Yangon: 1 Taim = 0.48513 meters
  • 1 Taim = 18 Palgat / Pahlgaht / Paulgaut = 202.5 Parisian lines = 5/11 meters , about 0.4545 meters
