Tais (Seluma)
Tais is the seat of government of the Seluma administrative district in the Indonesian province of Bengkulu on the west coast of the island of Sumatra .
In 2004 Tais had about 5700 inhabitants.
The earthquake on June 4, 2000 with a magnitude of 7.9 and epicenter near the town of Tais killed 117 people in Bengkulu province and injured over 1,300.
