Valley of the Seven Springs

The springs flow into a pond that served as a reservoir for the Paesmühle.

A local recreation area in Straelen in North Rhine-Westphalia is called the Valley of the Seven Sources . There is a dense network of paths for pedestrians and cyclists.

The springing here in a deciduous forest sources are in a pond at the Paesmühle dammed and then flow into the Moelenbeek from. Contrary to what the name "Valley of the Seven Sources" suggests, Moelenbeek is not fed by seven, but by a total of nine spring wells. The field name research explains the name with the verb siepen-seifen , which means something like "constantly flowing, trickling" and is used more often in field names.
