location
The site is located in the south of Menorca near the ME-22 between Ferreries and Cala Galdana . The route is not signposted and there is no information board.
description
The talayot belonged to a prehistoric settlement from the talayotic and post- talayotic times. 25 m to the northeast is the Taula of Binimassó , the religious center of the settlement. Another talayot stands 50 m north, which was built over a cave. The Talayots of Calafi are about 350 m southeast. The houses of the settlement have not been preserved.
Talayots, tower-like buildings built using the Cyclops technique , are characteristic of the prehistory of Mallorca and Menorca. 300 specimens were found in Menorca alone. The Talayot de Binicalsitx is of considerable size. From its top, where the remains of what was once a space can still be seen, you can see the talayot of Torretrencada and the sea.
