The language Dschoman ( Talodi ) or Ajoman and Gadschoman is an endangered Cordofan language spoken in Sudan .
It belongs to the Talodi-Heiban language group within the Niger-Congo language family . The number of speakers is only 1,500, as the former speakers increasingly adopted the Arabic language - the official language of Sudan - as their mother tongue. The trend continues today.
