Tama languages
The Tama languages are a subgroup of the East Sudanese branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family spoken in the east of the Republic of Chad and in the west of the Republic of Sudan .
According to Bender (2000), these include:
- Tama (approx. 63,000 speakers)
- Erenga-Sungor (approx. 38,500 speakers)
- Merarit (approx. 42,500 speakers)
