Taman Ayun

Taman Ayun is a temple complex in Mengwi in the Badung District on the island of Bali . The temple is considered one of the most beautiful on the island. Translated, the full name Pura Taman Ayun means 'Temple of the Floating Garden'. The temple was built in 1634 on a river island by Prince Regent I Gusti Agung Anon Putra-Raja von Mengwi. The complex is framed by numerous blossoming and fruit-bearing trees.

Taman Ayun is the imperial temple of the Rajas of Mengwi and reflects the Hindu cosmos.
