Tan Singh

Tan Singh (* in Barmer , Rajasthan ) was an Indian politician . He belonged to the Rajput clan of the Rathore (Mahecha Rathore Rajput) and was a landowner ("Bhuswami").

Career

Singh was one of the founders of the Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh , a radical organization for young Rajputs in modern times. He led the organization from 1946 to 1954 and from 1959 to 1969.

In the early 1950s he was a member of parliament in the state of Rajasthan, where he served as opposition leader for four months in 1956/57. He was a member of the Indian Lower House ( Lok Sabha ) for the constituency of Barmer (Rajasthan) (1962 to 1967 for the Ram Rajya Parishad party and 1977 to 1980 for the Janata Party ).
