Shin'ya Tanaka
Shin'ya Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 慎 弥 , Tanaka Shin'ya ; born November 29, 1972 ) is a Japanese writer.
Tanaka began writing at the age of about twenty and made his debut in 2005 with the novel Tsumetai mizu no hitsuji ( 冷 た い 水 の 羊 ), for which he received the Shinchō magazine award for young authors. The novel Tosho junbishitsu ( 図 書 準備 室 ) brought the first nomination for the Akutagawa Prize in 2007 . The following year he received the Kawabata Yasunari Literature Prize for the short story Sanagi and the Mishima Prize for Kireta Kusari ( 切 れ た 鎖 ) . In 2008 the novel Kami-sama no inai Nippon Shirizu ( 神 様 の い な い 日本 シ リ ー ズ ) was published, in 2009 the short story collection Inu to karasu ( 犬 と 鴉 ) and in 2010 Jikken ( 実 験 ). In the fifth nomination in 2011 he received the Akutagawa Prize for the short story Tomogui ( 共 喰 い ).
