Shinchō

Shinchō ( Japanese 新潮 'New Tides' ) is a literary magazine that has been published monthly by Shinchōsha since May 1904 . The magazine publishes the winners of the Kawabata Yasunari Literature Prize , the Mishima Prize and the Hagiwara Sakutarō Prize for Poetry. The current editor-in-chief has been Yuno Yutaka since 2003.

Along with Gunzō , Bungakukai , Subaru and Bungei, it is one of the five largest literary magazines in Japan.
